FAQ

Answers about the browser-side low quality workflow.

These are the main questions about privacy, input types, presets, download behavior, and how the deep fried effect works.

Does Low Quality Image upload my file?

No. The tool runs in your browser with the Canvas API, so the image stays on your device unless you share it yourself.

Which image formats can I start with?

You can upload JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to 100MB. The output can be exported as JPEG or WebP.

What makes the image look worse?

The tool lowers export quality, shrinks the render size, and re-encodes the image. Those steps create blur, blocking, and compression haze.

Can I preview the damage before downloading?

Yes. The preview updates in real time as you change presets, quality, scale, and output format.

What is the deep fried preset for?

It pushes quality and size further down so screenshots and memes pick up the harsh, over-compressed internet look.

Can I use this on mobile?

Yes. The controls and preview stack responsively, so the main upload-to-download flow still works on narrow screens.

Is this an AI enhancer or restoration tool?

This is not an AI image enhancer, upscaler, or photo restoration tool. It makes images worse on purpose.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no login, no queue, and no server-side processing. Everything happens locally in your browser.
